Peruvian Handicrafts

This is a section from a video I made for the Center for Amazon Community Ecology. In 2008 I traveled to Peru for six weeks to shoot a documentary for the Center's president, Campbell Plowden. While filming in the rainforest we would go up to a week without power, slept in hammocks, and got rained on almost everyday. I operated as a one man crew for the shoot, so my camera bag was full of rain gear, spare batteries, silica packets, and lots of DV tapes. Making the film was a great experience for me.

"Our trip to Peru involved a demanding schedule with travel between the city of Iquitos and eight different villages on eighteen different boats. Greg showed flexibility in applying his craft by shooting from dugout canoes, walking in rainy forests, and recording interviews by candlelight. I would gladly work with Greg again" -Dr. Campbell Plowden, Executive Director
